Thanks to Maria. I went forth and investigated this vimeo embed thing. No more QT’s.

So another blur and yea another class of Animation Mentor comes to a close. Main things picked up this class? Um.. theres lots of work to be done? Ha. Mainly the planning. Little incites like being able to plan your arcs and solid poses and breakdowns in the thumbnailing phase has really liberated my head. A few ” Dark-Age” thoughts had always told me to go into thumbnailing just trying to get the basics down and diving into the ” meat ” of the animation later on. But I’m way more comfortable with a pencil and paper than i’ll ever be with a keyboard and mouse, so I’ll expect to see larger stacks of thumbs and poses in the future.
Body mechanics has been an eye opener for me. Its like a new mold of thinking, at least for myself. Like taking someone who thinks in large broad strokes and telling that individual that you can do paintings with a single hair. If that makes sense.
But here ya go. New Progress Reel. I’m gonna go and hunt for audio clips now. Which should prove to be a challenge in itself. But per advice given to me by my mentor. Find something that aims close to home and that you can entirely be comfortable with. Especially since we have to listen to it and break it down. OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER.
Well here it is. I went through a few versions and had a tough time lopping off the 3rd section where Stewie pushes the lightbulb back up. But I’m happy I did cut it out , as it freed up tons of time to put in the proper space for inbetweens and some great moving holds.
Stay tuned for my progress reel! Now i’ll have some time to get my head together for next term. Intro to Acting! Ill have to start hunting for some ideas for my pantomime shot, along with a few audio clips for my lip sync shot.
So we’re almost around the bend for Body Mechanics. This assignment has been a roller coaster of ideas, implementation, re-hash and inspiring discoveries. This is the QT thus far. Lots of works on arcs, arms, some spacing issues and just technical fix ups.
