Some collaboration sketches.
Saturday, March 15th, 2008I always found it fun to either start a drawing for someone else or just finish one off. So for awhile my co-worker, Jared Brient, and I would collaborate on some sketchbook drawings. Its pretty fascinating to see the set of skills/ habits/ and nuances that each artist brings to his/her piece. This collaboration topic would be a cool medium to pursue in both animation and drawing/ painting.
Interview with David Torres. A lead animator from Blue Sky. And good advice from 2d animator Ralph Bakshi .
Thursday, March 13th, 2008Pretty cool article. Cool to see a semi-inside look at the animation and character dev of “Horton hears a Who”.
Also an old ASIFA article that I found a great read. I have a great respect for 2d animation, and its nice to hear a few words to bridge the two worlds.
And 2 more old sketches.

My first official post.
Sunday, March 2nd, 2008My official start date for animation mentor is March 31st. But I figured that an early start on my blog would be good. I’m touching up both my website and trying to get a hang of simple Wordpress commands. I’ll be adding content to this blog and trying to keep up to date with my sketches, drawings , paintings and animation.
